Regarding the public display of the former Tomiyazaki Library and Oyanezakura

The former Tomiyazaki Bunko Library is home to two Oyanezakura trees, designated as natural monuments by the city, and about 30 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees.

The Former Toyo Miyazaki Bunko and Oyanezakura will be open to the public during the period below.

Oyanezakura blooms a little earlier than Somei-Yoshino, and has the distinctive feature of having white flowers that start out white and turn a deep pink as they approach full bloom.

Enjoy the cherry blossoms along with the gates and mortar walls that evoke the past.
