This is a traditional event in which the large sacred rope that will be replaced around the Meoto-iwa (Husband and Wife Rocks) is placed on a ceremonial cart and dedicated to Futami Okitama Shrine.

They parade through the inn district around Meotoiwa (Husband and Wife Rocks), performing traditional work songs and Futami Taiko drumming.


*The event will proceed in light rain (in case of severe weather, it will be postponed to the following day).
