Within the precincts of Futamiokitama Shrine, there is a cave called Amanoiwaya. This cave is said to be the ruins of Sannomiya Shrine, where Ukanomitama Omikami (Toyouke Omikami) was enshrined. Also, from the myth that Amaterasu Omikami lamented the wolf of Susanoo-no-Mikoto and hid in a rock shop and the world was surrounded by darkness, the rising sun from Meotoiwa was likened to Amaterasu Omikami. As the sun sets in Iwaya, the heavenly Iwaya faith associated with this myth was born. For this reason, Meotoiwa and Amanoiwaya, which symbolize sunrise and sunset, are paired. There are places called "Amano Iwato" and "Amano Iwato" all over the country, but in Ise-Shima, this "Amano Iwato" and "Amano Iwato" in Shima City are famous.
