The Geku is officially called Toyokedaijingu.
It is one of the two main shrines of the XNUMX Goshogu(the main shrines), and the deity of food and industry, Toyouke-no-Omikami, is enshrined.
As the deity who controls the meal of Amaterasu Omikami in Naiku, she was enshrined here about XNUMX years ago.A Shinto ritual called "Higoto Asayu Omike Sai" is held twice a day every day to offer meals to the deities such as Amaterasu Omikami.
Within the shrine area, there are Taganomiya shrine, Tsuchinomiya shrine, and Kazenomiya shrine, which are the second highest-ranked annexes after the main shrine(Betsugu).
Aramitama which is the positive side of Toyouke-no-omikami is enshrined at Taganomiya, Otsuchi-no- Mioyanokami at Tsuchinomiya, and Shinatuhiko-no-MIikoto and Shinatobe-no-Mikoto who control the wind and rain at Kazenomiya.
