Kusunoki stands opposite the Tesuisha on the Omotesando of Ise Jingu and Geku.It is called Kiyomori Camphor because there is a tradition that when Taira no Kiyomori came to Japan as a messenger, he cut a branch that touched the crown.Taira no Kiyomori has visited Jingu three times as a messenger. It is said that the tree is close to 1000 years old, and although it seems that there are two trees, it is actually said to be a large tree.
