The god of water that protects the Isuzu River.It is located near the Isuzu River Mitarai, and is enshrined in stone pavement with only Migaki and Mikado and no shrine.It has been carefully enshrined as the guardian deity of the Isuzu River since ancient times, and although it is under the jurisdiction of the Naiku, the festival is based on the Bekkyu.
In Ise, it is customary to offer the water drawn from the Isuzu River to the Takisaijin on August 8st (Hassaku) every year, bring it home, and then pray for a disease-free life on the Kamidana.It is popular among local residents as "Otoritsugi-san", and there is a popular belief that if you visit the Takisaijin before visiting the Naiku (Shomiya), you will be able to make a wish to Amaterasu Omikami.
