The "Mifuku Mochi Honke" started in 3 when the bean paste was distributed to travelers visiting Ise in Ise Province.Even now, "Ofuku Mochi", which is hand-packed one by one by skilled craftsmen and made with great care, uses Hokkaido azuki beans (Kitamaron) and Hokkaido glutinous rice (Hakuchomochi).
